Moonborn Movement and Wellness

Moonborn Movement and Wellness is a boutique studio offering massage therapy and movement classes in a warm, inclusive, and safe space. When the client described their own target audience as “for the weirdos, witches, gays, and theys,” I knew I needed to create an identity that could stand apart from the traditional wellness studios.

Moonborn offers dance, Gyrotonic, and Gyrokinesis classes — all of which focus on circular, nonlinear movements. I created a custom wordmark that balances movement in free-flowing decorative lines with strength in structured letterforms. Starbursts and crescent details nod to the “Moon” in the name, symbolizing guidance and renewal. These elements extend to unique brand patterns when pieced together.

A palette of rich, moody jewel tones with feminine undertones adds intrigue and depth, further supporting the witchy, celestial vibe that feels true to the client.
